Do I need to be a MECSR member?

Yes. Members take part by invitation. Not a member yet? Join MECSR on mecsr.org: Associate membership includes your first Headliner feature.

Where do I find my invitation code?

MECSR sends invitation codes to its members. Enter yours on this page to continue. Can't find it? Email membership@mecsr.org. We check every invitation before we start on your feature, and if we can't confirm it, we refund you in full.

We're a corporate member. How does it work?

Corporate membership includes a Headliner feature for a leader you nominate. Your other member seats can take part with their own invitation. Not sure what your membership includes? Email membership@mecsr.org.

How does it work?

Accepted Answer

Members enter their invitation code and pay; new members hear from our team once they've joined. Then you share your details, bio and photo in a short form, and we review your story, design your cover and publish it.

What kind of photo works best?

Accepted Answer

A recent, high-resolution portrait, waist up or shoulders up, facing the camera in good, even light. A plain background is best. You'll see examples when you upload.

When will my feature be published?

Accepted Answer

Once we have your complete details and photo, our team reviews your story and designs your cover, and checks both carefully before they go live. We publish as soon as your feature meets our editorial standards.

Can I see or change my feature before it's published?

Accepted Answer

We create your feature from exactly what you send and review it carefully, so please check everything before you submit. There's no separate approval step.

If a change is truly urgent, contact us on WhatsApp at +971 50 615 6548 or email media@mecsr.org. Corrections may delay your publication.

On the LinkedIn page of the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres & Retailers (MECSR), with you and your company tagged, and on Instagram, Facebook and X (Twitter). You also get your own story page on our website, and new Headliners appear in What's Up Retail Newsletter.

Is The Headliner in the printed magazine?

Accepted Answer

No. The Headliner is a digital feature, made for sharing online. Want to be in print too? Retail People Magazine is published quarterly, in print and digital, and there are several ways to be part of it: see Be part of the magazine or email mariz@mecsr.org.

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Payments are non-refundable, except that we refund you in full if we can't confirm your membership. Please make sure you're ready to go ahead before you check out.

Is payment secure?

Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
